Part (a) shows the case where \(\mathcal{Y}_{2} <\mathcal{Y} < \mathcal{Y}_{1}\) (\(\mathcal{Y} = 0.8 \mathcal{Y}_{1}\)), while part (b) shows the case \(\mathcal{Y} > \mathcal{Y}_{1}\) (\(\mathcal{Y} = 1.01 \mathcal{Y}_{1}\)). The horizontal dotted straight line correspond to \(\widetilde{y} = \mathcal{Y}\). Simulations have been done with the parameter values shown in Table 1.
